13 Android Apps That Will Steal Your Banking Details

At the end of 2021, Google Play Store have found a list of apps that were infected with malware, introduced through third party sources after being downloaded. According to this article by Darab Ali, the malware can capture your online banking passwords, your two-factor authentication codes, and even take screenshots of your phone. Just imagine the damage that can be done.

According to another article by Debashis Sarkar, this malware which is called the Joker malware has the capability to steal money by automatically subscribing to online services in the background without the user's knowledge, and it is also capable of clicking on online ads automatically and can even access OTPs from SMS to secretly approve payments.

So, check your phone. If you have any of these apps installed, uninstall them immediately and scan your phone for viruses and malwares. The 13 apps include:

These are only 13 of the apps that have been identified, and there could just possibly be more. So exercise caution, be very wary about what you click, what you download. As a general rule of thumb: if you're asked to download something you didn't explicitly wanted to, ignore it. And if you've accidentally downloaded it, do not open the file and delete it.
